Hi, I’m Dr Dom Cromer.

A little about me,

Born and raised in a Liverpool NHS household, my Mum was a nurse and my Dad worked in the Oxford Street Maternity operating theatres, I was always destined for a career in the NHS.

I went straight from A-levels to train as an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP), interviewing the same day I submitted my A-level portfolio, at Aintree University Hospital. After completing my training I was based in Accident and Emergency operating theatres, serving 17 years honing my skills in surgery, anaesthetics, managing and assisting in emergencies and trauma in AED.

However, I felt that I had more to offer and wanted to be able to have a more involved role in helping people, therefore I took the huge leap to start my medical training at the age of 34, continuing to work as an ODP while putting myself through medical school.

Since qualifying I've had many roles, all of which have given me invaluable knowledge and experience; from emergency/trauma surgery, respiratory, gastroenterology, emergency care medicine, and ITU medicine. I spent a year in medical education, training the next generation of Doctors, and have been involved in published research and case studies.

Having seen the positive effects aesthetic therapies can have on a person, whether by boosting confidence, reducing symptoms caused by everyday stress or making someone feel good about their body again. I feel I can provide a patient-centred approach based around what the client feels could be improved. With my 26 years NHS experience I feel I can use those skills to provide a quality and caring service.

Dr Dom has the following qualifications:-

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Liverpool /GMC 7608444

Certificate in Higher Education in Operating Department Practice (Cert HE ODP)

My Approach

Every treatment is patient centred. During the consultation I’ll discuss what it is you want to get out of the treatment/s, explain the process covering risks and benefits, how long until effects are noticed.

I’ll take a medical history from you. This is to identify any potential underlying health issues which could mean certain treatments would be advised against due to risks to you. We want you happy, but more importantly healthy.

Once everything is discussed, explained and signed off I’ll get you booked in and look forward to seeing you on the day.

Simple ideas

I always like to make sure everything is done well and you are happy with the results. Therefore I’ll always offer a two week follow up to check on your progress.

Lasting impact

I believe that by working in partnership with the client, managing expectations and skilled application of treatments has a long lasting impact on outcome and satisfaction and that’s my goal.
